Vickie Pearl Cantrell, age 62, of Bolivar, MO, formerly of Niangua and Marshfield, MO, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014, in her home. She was born May 18, 1952, in California. She is the Daughter of Guy and Blanche Ella (Leader) Scovel. She graduated from Niangua High School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Bolivar Ward.
Vickie loved being a grandmother, and looked forward to her first great grandchild due to arrive in February. She enjoyed sewing and was an excellent seamstress. She entertained the family with her singing on long road trips. She served as a Brownie Leader, Den Mother, and planned the best birthday parties. She provided baby sitting services for many children throughout her life. She had a great sense of humor and a very creative mind.
She is survived by her Three children: Christopher Cantrell of Vinton, IA, Wendy McCullough-Cantrell of Lawrence, KS, and Ashley Newburn of Springfield, MO; eight grandchildren; a brother Wayne Herron of CA; as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter – Day Saints in Bolivar, MO, with Bishop Weston Wilkins officiating.
