Victor Eugene Aven, 93, of Nixa found eternal peace on August 7, 2016. He was born in Nixa on June 6, 1923 and graduated from Nixa High School. He married Rheba Woods in 1946 and they moved to the bay area of California where he worked for Kaiser Shipyards during WWII. They returned to Rogersville where they built a home on their farm. Victor worked at Springfield City Utilities for 32 years in addition to farming and carpentry. Victor loved his family, his Union Hill Church family, gardening (including his famous tomatoes), woodworking, western shows and traveling.He is survived by three daughters, Peggy Ramey, Pamela Palmer (Mark) and Susan Miles (John) along with five grandchildren, Darlene, Sherry, Earl Jr; Blain and Benjamin. His wife, Rheba and grandson, Daniel preceded him in death.Victor’s smile and humor will be missed by all who knew him.Visitation will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Union Hill Church of Christ in Nixa with services following. Burial will be at Roller Cemetery.Instead of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to Fairhaven Childrens Home in Strafford, Missouri.
