Memorial service to be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran church, 815 Farm Road 182, Springfield, Missouri 65810 on Saturday, February 4 at 1:30 pm, with visitation prior at 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service will be planned for mid-summer in Minnesota.

A memorial bench and plaque dedicated to Virgil’s memory will be placed at the Missouri State University, Bull Shoals field station fire circle. In lieu of flowers, contributions for this memorial may be made to the family.

Virgil W. Klint, 91, passed away in Springfield, Missouri on January 19, 2023 following a brief illness.
Born in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota to Rosetta and Walter Klint, the youngest of three children. Preceded in death by his parents, siblings, daughter Joy Ellen, grandson Derek, great-grandson Diego.
Survived by wife of 71 years, Marvelle; children: Judy (Peter) Burke, Jerome (Rosie) Klint, and Jackie (Jim) Martin; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, and countless loving family members and friends.

Dean and I are so sad to hear of Virgil's passing. We remember him as being a sweet man with a delightful smile. He was giving and loving, and a fine example of what it is to live in God's light.

Marvelle, our prayers are with you and your precious family. We always were overjoyed to see you and Virgil return to Hosanna Lutheran Church when you visited old friends in Houston, Texas! Virgil had such a wonderful smile and was so friendly to all of us, as you, also, have been. We pray for your comfort and peace. Our love, Earl and Dottie

My heart goes out to Virgil's family at this time of loss. I struggle with the right words to share. He was a truly wonderful human being. Whenever we met there was always a smile, a kind word and laughter. He with his beautiful wife raised four amazing children, a testament to their strength as a devoted couple. Rest in peace.

There is a new hole in my heart where Virgil resided and will remain. He is now in a blessed place where there is no sickness or suffering and free. My feelings for Virgil are so complex and encompass a myriad of events we have shared over the years. Never to be repeated nor repeated. He has a permanent place in my heart and life. As Doug said, He was a great man and lived a great life. I am honored to be considered his friend.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
