I’m so sorry for all of you children for the loss of your mom. She was a great lady and my Al-Anon sponsor for many years. Doubt if you will even remember me, since it has been so long ago — seems like only yesterday that Derrick and Kip drove Gene’s car and took my Pat and Sean down to the school yard, unknown to us. Vivian was quite upset with you, but in a way it WAS kinda funny (at least later, when we talked about it)! Vivian always said I didn’t age, for she remembered me like I was before she completely lost her sight. Think the last time we were together was at Bert’s funeral, when we picked her up to go with us. She was sooo tickled and said it was so good to see all of us again! She was quite a trooper and never let her loss of sight interfere with her activities. I could NEVER be that spunky! Used to see her pretty frequently at the Southside Senior Center, where she played bingo. She never ceased to amaze me. Louise told me about Vivian being hospitalized and I’m very sorry I never got over to see her. I used to flit around here and there but in the last year or so, I’ve slowed down quite considerably. Had planned to attend the service today, but health just wouldn’t permit. I’m not a “shut-in”, but limited to how far I can walk, etc. recently. I finally had presence of mind to try to find some of you on FB and found Derrick and Judy. That was a very nice picture of Judy with her Mom. Derrick, I’m so sorry about your daughter — she was a beautiful young lady. I know it must hurt terribly to lose someone so young. At least she will be with her grandparents, now. Please accept my wholehearted sympathy for all your families.
