Vivian Tessie Loucks, 83, of Springfield, MO passed away April 30, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.
Vivian was born in Long Run, MO to Oscar & Callie Hampton on Dec. 11, 1933. She graduated from Gainsville High School in 1951. She married Ward Loucks on July 28, 1951. Vivian owned and operated Mi Lady Beauty Salon with her business partner Mary Ownbey since 1961, retiring in 2016.
Vivian is survived by her daughter, Brenda and her husband Jim K. Gahagan. Three grandchildren, Brian Gahagan, Sara and her husband Matthew Lindsey and Barry Gahagan. Two sisters, Thelma Bias and Jurlean Essig and a host of nieces and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters, Alene Tabor, Glessie Cox and Peachie Hampton.
A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2017 at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO with Rev. Geoff Weinman officiating. Friends may come by Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Springfield, MO Thursday, May 4, 2017 to pay their respects.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ozarks Food Harvest or the Central Christian Church where she was a member.
