Walter M. Morris Jr. went home to Jesus on January 22, 2021 at 1:02 pm at age 77 years young. Born to Walter M. Morris Sr. and Verda Jane Morris on October 3, 1943. Walter and his loving wife Bonnie Morris of 54 1/2 years went on to have 3 children, Matt Morris, Mike Morris and Heather Salley.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Walter also loved his 5 grandchildren, Brittany Morris, Jacob Salley, Emily Salley, Ben Morris and Sara Morris. Walter spent his life dedicated to loving and caring for his family. Walter retired from MODOT where he was a foreman. During his retirement he was like a jack of all trades. He would never take a day off, there was always something that needed to be done. He would have given you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He never knew a stranger and could talk for hours.

Walter joins his parents, brothers: Junior, Cherry, Carol, Bob, and Eddie. And his sisters Leah Jean, and Mary in Heaven. He is survived by His wife Bonnie along with his sons: Matt, Mike, His favorite daughter Heather andher husband Jerry. 5 grandchildren: Brittany, Jacob, Emily, Ben, and Sara. His sisters: Linda “Kay”, Carolyn “Jo”. And many nieces and nephews which he loved very much along side his furry best friend Truman.

“We will forever miss his sweet spirit and infectious smile. Thank you for teaching us to use imagination and encouraging us to be the very best we could be. You will be missed everyday and will be loved forever in our hearts. We love you so much Dad, Papa, JR, Walt. No matter the name, you were loved beyond the moon and stars. We will miss the backflips, grab bags, snacks, garage sale trips and many many more adventures you took us on. You were an amazing son, husband, father, papa and best friend to all. We love you so much.”
