I have been so blessed by knowing Wanda these past 11 years. I was in the Polio cottage with Wanda in 1951-52 but was too young to know her then. I met her at Smith’s Restaurant in September, 2005 at the Polio survivor’s reunion. Wanda and I then kept in touch by phone and I was able to visit her at her house once. She gave me a bag of black walnuts all ready to eat. Wanda often talked of her family and how good you all were to her. She enjoyed the “little ones” and looked forward to every visit. I last talked to her last summer but have kept up with her through our mutual friend Linda Hull. I know Wanda has had many difficulties this past year, but that is all behind now. She is with our Blessed Lord Jesus and I look forward to seeing her in Heaven. May the Lord bless and comfort you now and in the days ahead. In His Love, Brenda Taplin
