William Dean (Rusty) Archer William Dean (Rusty) Archer, 70 of Springfield, passed away on October 23, 2009 in his home. He was born April 23, 1939 in Shelbyville, Kan., and attended Central High School in Springfield. He was a business owner and enjoyed hunting, racing and playing pool with Buster. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, William B. and Buela Archer; and brother, Bob “Curly” Archer. He is survived by his children, Shannon Archer, Wesley Archer, Shelly Hart and Phyllis Busby; grandchildren, Jamie, Lacey, Kerri and Mason; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Cherish; brother, Mike Lacey and wife, Nancy; and his little buddy, Ollie. Funeral service is October 31 at 1 p.m. in Greenlawn North Funeral Home with burial following. Visitation is October 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Archer Family c/o Guaranty Federal Bank. A special thanks to Johnny and Carolyn, Nurse Connie, and Ronnie.
