Winiferd “Winnie” Smith, 86 of Springfield, MO passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 after a long illness.
She is preceded in death by husband, Marlow V. Reaves, parents Walter “Buck” and Anna Knapp, brother, Frank Knapp and son-in-law, Ron Sweaney.
Winnie enjoyed reading, crossword books and baking.
Winnie is survived by daughters, Lora Sweaney of Springfield, MO and Donna Bartley and husband Ron of Carthage, MO. Also a sister, Betty Warner of Blue Springs, MO and twin brother, Walter “Pete” Knapp and wife Maxine of Springfield, MO.
Winnie “AKA MeMa” has four grandchildren, Tony Sweaney and wife Angela of Kansas City, MO, Steven Sweaney and wife Deanna of Nixa, MO, Lora Elaine Davis and husband Dale and Susan Stuart and husband Jimmy all of Springfield, MO. Thirteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with a Celebration of Life service at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be at Springfield National Cemetery.
