Zean C. McEntire
Zean C. McEntire, age 79, departed to be with the Lord on August 14, 2009. Zean was born in Stone Hill, Mo., on February 16, 1930. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Oretta and Oreva. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gilberta; two sons, Jeff and David; daughter-in-law Regina; three grandchildren, Justin, Leah and Hailey; two sisters, Cleone and Fern; one brother, A.D.; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Zean was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend. He served our country in active duty during the Korean War. He faithfully worked at Lilly Tulip cup factory for 38 years. Zean loved his family, fishing and going to church. He was a member of Glendale Baptist Church for 40 years. We know without a doubt that Zean is in Heaven rejoicing with Jesus. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 18, from 6 to 8 p.m., in Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Services will be in Glendale BaptistChurch on Wednesday, August 19, at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Zean’s honor at either Glendale Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
