Bobby joined our staff at Greenlawn in 2003 and has been a licensed funeral director since 1983. He was born in Springfield, MO, and was raised on a farm between Pleasant Hope and Bolivar. He attended Southwest Baptist College and Missouri State University in Springfield. Bobby and his wife, Linda, have two children and two grandchildren.

When Bobby was 12 years old, his 19-year-old sister died of complications stemming from lifelong heart problems and cancer. Five years later, his father died from cancer, and four years after that, Bobby’s mother died from complications following many strokes.

In Bobby’s words, “These losses don’t make me wiser than anyone, but I feel they have made me better equipped to see the effect that death has on people and their families. I have enjoyed trying to help people through the grief process, making some lifelong friends along the way. I feel I have been blessed to do what I do and hope I have been a help to others.”
