Karon Jean Burtrum Robertson, 41, Springfield, was born Jan. 10, 1973, in Springfield. She passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014, in her home after a sudden illness. Randy and Karon were married on March 26, 1993, and had 21 wonderful years together. Karon was a life-long Christian and kept God close to her heart. Karon was well-loved and had a positive outlook on life. Karon had a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Drury University, where she graduated with Honors. She was a devoted member of the Leftovers Car Club. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Robert Burtrum, Sr. and her mother-in-law, Judy Robertson. Karon is survived by her mother, Karen Jean Burtrum; her siblings: Rhonda Wales, Ramona Burtrum, Ronnie Burtrum, and Michael Burtrum; her nieces and nephews: Michael Burtrum Jr., Tanner and Zac Burtrum, and Joshua and Rachelle Wales; a great-niece, Zoey Elizabeth Wales and Joshua’s wife, Jessica Wales. Karon is also survived her father-in-law, Jim Robertson, and many other family members. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
