Grief Support

At Greenlawn Funeral Home, our care doesn’t end after the service—it begins the moment you walk through our doors.

Grief doesn’t follow a timeline. For many families, the hardest moments come in the very first hours—when decisions have to be made and everything feels overwhelming. That’s why we’ve expanded how we support you, offering care both during the arrangement process and in the weeks and months that follow.

Support When You Need It Most

On-Site Grief Support During Arrangements

Through our partnership with Touchstone Counseling, we offer in-person grief support during the arrangement process at our Ozark location.

A licensed counselor is available—at no cost to your family—during one of the most emotionally difficult moments you may face. This support is immediate, present, and grounded in helping you process what you’re experiencing while navigating important decisions.

Your first counseling session is fully covered by Greenlawn.
If you choose to continue, Touchstone offers ongoing counseling for individuals, couples, families, and children—covering grief, trauma, anxiety, and more.

What’s Available to You

Through Touchstone Counseling, families have access to:

  • Individual counseling — One-on-one support tailored to your experience, with the first session covered by Greenlawn
  • Family and group support — Counseling options designed to support families navigating loss together
  • Ongoing care — Continued sessions available for those who want additional support beyond the initial visit

Sessions are typically 45–50 minutes and take place in person at Touchstone’s Ozark location.

Why This Partnership, Why Now

For over 120 years, Greenlawn has walked alongside families in some of life’s hardest moments. We’ve also seen firsthand the emotional weight carried by both the families we serve and the professionals who care for them.

We believe both deserve more support than has traditionally been available.

Touchstone Counseling shares our deep commitment to this community and to providing compassionate, professional care. This partnership was built intentionally—not as a program, but as a meaningful extension of how we serve.

By bringing licensed grief support into the arrangement process, we’re able to offer care when it’s needed most—not weeks later, but right away.

Continuing Care After the Service

Grief continues long after the funeral, and you don’t have to walk through it alone.

Grief Seminar

These professionally led classes cover a wide range of topics focused on understanding grief, managing stress, and overall wellness. Participants are invited to share experiences, ask questions, and learn in a confidential, supportive environment.

New Beginnings

The loss of a spouse changes daily life in countless ways. Our New Beginnings gatherings are designed for widows and widowers to connect, find community, and navigate life after loss together.

Why This Matters

Research shows that the support you receive early in the grieving process can have a lasting impact on healing.

By offering professional grief support during arrangements—alongside continued resources—we’re helping create a foundation for healing that begins immediately and continues for as long as you need it.
