Laurie (Schatzer) Kelsey-Belew, age 43, of Springfield, MO passed away on July 20, 2014 after a brief illness.Those who knew her loved her for her generous nature, loving spirit, and willingness to give all she had, most of all to her children. She worked extensively volunteering at the school and at her favorite charities – Children’s Miracle Network, Camp Barnabas, and Champions Committed to Kids. Her five children always came first, and she would do anything to further their education and give them better lives.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, and her five children, Devin Kelsey, Stefan Kelsey, Lauren Kelsey, Jodelyn Belew and Scotlyn Belew. She is also survived by her father, Bruce Schatzer, and her mother, Carolyn Rapp; and her siblings Tim & Christina Schatzer; Jody & Jeff Wilcox; Michael & Robin Schatzer; Lyle & Melissa Schatzer; Shane & Rachel Schatzer; Kelly & Aaron Edwards; Jolein & Justin Willhite, along with many loving nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Greenlawn Funeral Home-East in Springfield, MO. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Smart Cemetery, Clever, MO following the service.
