Norman David Flippo, age 73, of Nixa, MO passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014. He was born September 17, 1940 in Omaha, AR, the son of Sherman and Leona Flippo.
Norman was a autobody repairman and a member of the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed spending time with his family. Norman graduated from the School of the Ozarks in the Class of 1958.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James Flippo. He leaves behind the love of his life of 32 years Linda Killingsworth; children; Janetta, Leona, Doug and Greg, two other daughters; Cindy and Mindy, the mother of his children Edith Flippo, four brothers; Marion, Richard, Walt and Alan, four sisters; Verla, Susie, Winnie and Clyda, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 5-7 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 3322 S Campbell Ave, Springfield, MO 65807.
