Dolores Arlene Smith (Kroenung), 80, of Ozark, MO passed away and went to be with our heavenly father on December 14, 2019 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO.
Dolores was born January 5, 1939 to Stanley Kroenung and Beatrice Kroenung Van Nest in East St. Louis, Illinois. She graduated from East St. Louis High School in 1957. and later attended Joliet Junior Community College in Joliet, Illinois. Her career was in the banking industry where she worked for many years at Boatmen's Bank in downtown St. Louis and then at The Exchange Bank in Gardner, Illinois where she retired after 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, baking, reading, writing (especially poetry), listening to music, and traveling.
Dolores married Ronald Smith on May 29, 1964 in Belleville, Illinois. Together the couple had one daughter, Jill Randolph (Alan).
She was processed in death by her husband, Ronald, parents, Stanley C. Kroenung and Beatrice Kroenung Van Nest, brothers Stanley and Denny.
Survivors include daughter Jill (Alan) Randolph and grandson Nathan Salinas from Ozark, MO, five nieces Pam Pitchford, Kim Smith, Terry (Patrice) Kroenung, Pam (Doug) Nordman, Donna (Guy) Pryor, nephew Bryan Smith. Along with other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Dolores Smith will be at 6:00 pm Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Interment will be at a later date in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
