It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of our mother Shirley Ann Altic Huey.
Born October 2, 1942 to Orville and Stata Altic, she left this earth June 10, 2019 after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by both parents and her siblings Kenneth Altic, Lester Altic, Helen Garrison, Charlene Altic, and brother-in-law Bid Garrison. She was also proceeded in death by her great-niece Melissa Elizabeth Ann Garrison Smith and nephew Jim Clemens.
Shirley is survived by her children Shirley Perry; Rhonda Dlouhy and husband Shawn; Rick Huey and wife Paula ; sister Sue Clemens, and sister-in-law Eveline Altic all of Springfield. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Shirley was blessed with seven grandchildren, all whom she loved dearly: Michael Dlouhy and wife Ashley; Elizabeth Dlouhy; Zach Dlouhy and partner Anne Westrich; Jason Dlouhy; Eleanor (Huey) Turner and husband Dylan; Mollie Huey and Danielle Perry.
Shirley’s legacy will continue into the future in the lives of her 5 great grandsons of whom she was devoted; Keondray Perry and Marcus Ray; Emerson Dlouhy; Dalton and Gunner Turner.
Shirley was a member of West Atlantic Street Baptist Church where she was affectionately known as “Mama Shirley” and the “Candy Lady.” Shirley loved Jesus and she loved her church family.
She will be missed beyond words by her family and friends.
Services will be held at Greenlawn North on Friday June 14th at 6 pm with visitation to follow.
