Mrs. Elta Alene Roberts, age 90 of Polk, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Polk. Elta was born April 24, 1928, in Polk County, MO, to Delbert and Rachel (Inglis) Noblitt. She was saved at the age of 13 at Sentinel Missionary Baptist Church. She was baptized at the age of 14 and remained a member at Sentinel until her death.
Elta was united in marriage to Leslie Erwin Roberts on November 4, 1946, and to this union three children were born. She was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and loved her family. She enjoyed Sunday dinners, and listening to family playing and singing. She loved quilting and embroidering until her eye sight diminished.
Elta is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 70 years Leslie; a daughter in-law Diana Roberts; a brother Lovell Noblitt; and two sisters: Helen Brannon and Hazel Bolenbaugh.
Elta is survived by her three children: Gale Roberts, Denton Roberts and wife Sherry, and Starla Loertcher and husband Allen all of Polk, MO; four grandchildren: Jason Roberts, Ryan Roberts and wife Amanda, Jared Roberts and wife Jessie, and Jenna Roberts; three great grandchildren: Reed, Penny, and Simon; three brothers: Lionel Noblitt of Fillmore, CA, Lowell Noblitt of Bolivar, MO, and Lyle Noblitt and wife Mary of Carrolton, MO; one sister Lila June Seamster of Wichita, KS; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 11, 2019, at Pitts Chapel with Bro. Dusty Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow at Payne Cemetery Polk, MO. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, March 10, 2019, in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.
