A Memorial Service for Cecil F. Layton age 83 of Branson formerly of Springfield, Missouri will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday January 26, 2019 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East in Springfield, MO. Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.

He passed away on December 24, 2018 in Branson.

Cecil was born on March 9, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Cecil J. and Addie Phegley Layton. He retired as a maintenance engineer with Frito-Lay Company. Cecil was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Springfield when he was a resident there. He was also a member of the U.S.C.G. Auxiliary Flotilla # 30-02 at Lake of The Ozarks, and Flotilla #5-2 in Springfield, Missouri and Fun Runners Car Club at Lake of The Ozarks. He liked old cars, antiques and junk.

Survivors are four children; Karen LaRosa, Kristine Fusselman, Kenny Layton and Kathryne Sivils all of Missouri and very close friend, Joann Patterson of Branson, Missouri. Grandchildren; Kelly Lynn Barr Hughes, Allison (Minch) Layton, Joel Layton and Katelyn Layton. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Patricia A. Kelly Layton.
