Nettie Rosetta Polodna passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018, in her home at the age of 88. She was born at home on the Dallas Co. line near Branch, MO, to Leman and Clara Sears. She was the youngest of six children.
She was married to Martin Polodna for 54 years. They lived on the same farm between Wishart and Aldrich, MO, for 43 years. They raised their family on the farm with many happy memories.
She was saved at the age of 12 at the old Van Town Church. She joined the First Assembly of God Church when she and Martin moved to Bolivar. She was a volunteer at CMH in Bolivar, for many years and an auxillary member.
She was preceeded in death by her parents; her husband Martin; four brothers: Raymond, Oren, Dewey, and Willis Sears; one sister Goldena Ritch.
Survivors include her children: son Daniel Polodna and wife Cheryl, daughter Joyce McConnell, son Ronald Polodna and wife Linda, son Robert Polodna and wife Angie; eight grandchildren: Travis Polodna and wife Laura, Danielle Swearengin and husband Ron, Gayle Paxson and husband Matt, Cody Polodna and wife Kristi, Jace Polodna, Chase Polodna, Brittney and Erin Davis; 12 great grandchildren: Marissa Buzzard and husband Clayton, Jenna and Jake Polodna, Remington, Logan, Ethan and Austin Swearengin, Payton and Makenzie Paxson, Avery and Warren Polodna, and Gracie Polodna.
Nettie loved gardening and raising beautiful flowers. She enjoyed her family and friends, praising God and sharing her faith with others. God has given our family a wonderful gift in her. We are blessed!
Services will be held at Pitts Chapel in Bolivar, MO, on Friday, November 2, 2018, at 11:00 am, with Bro. Gary Ankrom officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery Bolivar, MO. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, November 1, 2018, in the funeral home.
