Our sweet little Charles Naylor Blair, (Charlie Boy), aged exactly 9 months, slipped away with the angels at 11:20 AM on Friday the 23rd of February, 2018 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Charlie was fighting a battle with severe bacterial meningitis when he left us. Heaven gained an exceptionally sweet soul last Friday. Charlie was a constant source of joy, love and laughter for everyone in his family and for anyone who ever met him. We are so fortunate to have been able to share the time and space we did during his short time on earth and to have been touched by his energy and his pure love. His sweet smiles and big belly laughs will live on forever in hearts.
Charlie will be missed and will forever be with his parents, Sam and Melanie Blair, his big sister and big brother, Avery and Jackson Blair, his Grandparents Bob and Pat Blair and Dennis Naylor and his wife, Nina Lasky, his Uncle Brad Naylor and Aunt Allie and Uncle Noah Blair and Aunt Jen along with an extremely large family of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. An even larger family will greet him and pamper him beyond words in heaven.
The family would like to thank all the medical professionals at St. Louis Children’s Hospital who fought along with Charlie and who all were profoundly affected by his loss. In lieu of flowers the family would like to request that donations to the St. Louis Children’s Hospital PICU be considered by friends and family. Please also consider bringing a new stuffed animal to the visitation or service which will then be donated to other children at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
A visitation at Greenlawn East Funeral Home, 3540 East Seminole will start at 10AM on Friday, March 2nd and a service for Charlie at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 515 East Division Street will follow at noon.
