Theda Pearl Dodson died February 8, 2018 at the age of 92 in the Mountain View Nursing Home, Mountain View, Missouri. She had been a resident of Springfield for most of her life until moving to the nursing home in Mountain View.
Theda was born on October 22, 1925, to Lawrence and Sylvia (Potter) Wheeler. She graduated from Elkland High School in 1941, and then attended Southwest Missouri State Teachers College for about a year. About 1943, she went to work as a PBX operator for Frisco, working there just shy of 10 years. She loved to play the piano and at one time gave lessons. She was a member of South Street Christian Church in Springfield, Missouri.
Theda married Elburn E. Dodson on July 26, 1946, having been married for 68 years when he passed away December 2, 2014.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Pauly, and brother, Keith Wheeler.
She is survived by her grandsons: Michael E. Pauly and Jason Pauly, sister-in-law; Susan Wheeler, nephews; Doug and wife, Bobbi Wheeler, Craig and wife, Cindy Wheeler, and a niece; Julie (Wheeler) Waddle and husband, Bob, and several grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Conway Cemetery, Conway, Missouri.
