Stephen Michael Willoughby, 63, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Friday July 31, in Springfield Rehab Center, after a long illness. Stephen was born January 5, 1946, to Bedford and Louise Willoughby. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Donna Easter Willoughby; his parents; two sisters, Betty Saunders and Lillian Campbell; and two brothers, William Gardner Willoughby and Robert Willoughby. He is survived by a brother, Maurice Lee Willoughby; daughter Lisa Michelle Willoughby; and son Michael Anthony Willoughby, all of Springfield; as well as a son, Stephen Michael Thompson of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. He had seven grandchildren, Erica, Shawntra, Jennifer, Jacob, and Lilly Willoughby, and Daniel and Jessica Thompson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He graduated from Cental High School in 1964, and became a photographer for the Air Force from 1964 to 1968. He married Donna on February 24, 1969. From 1971 to 2003 he was employed with the Frisco and Burlington Northern Railways. He was and avid sports fan, especially of the Cardinals, Chiefs , and Nascar. “OH BABY” Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2009, in Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
