Opal Scott, 86, of Springfield, was born on October 13, 1922 in Highlandville, Mo., and passed away on Monday, September 14, 0229. She was a member of Sunset Church of Christ and enjoyed antiques, sewing, quilting and gardening. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, James Scott; son, Randy Scott; her sisters; and a brother. She is survived by her children, Roger Scott and wife Kathryn; and grandson, Michael Scott. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 17 at 10 a.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with burial following in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fair Haven’s Children’s Home.
