Edward Paul Fellin
Edward Paul Fellin Edward Paul Fellin, of Springfield, Mo., passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at the age of 90, after a lengthy illness. Edward was born in Desdemona, Texas on October 31, 1919 to Alexander Paul Fellin and Vesta Julia (Sanders) Fellin and was the second of five children. A United States Navy veteran, Edward served on the U.S.S. Yancey in the Pacific from 1944 to 1945. From his first union, with Vernice Jewell (Lambert) Fellin of Springfield, Mo., were born Judith Ann (Fellin) Fiveash and John Edward Fellin, who survive along with their spouses, David Windol Fiveash and Caroline Ann (McCasland) Fellin. After the passing of Vernice in 1957, Edward then married Dorothy Jean (Buford) Fellin of Huntsville, Ala., and to this union was born Nancy Jean (Fellin) Hill who survives along with her husband Timothy Mark Hill. In 1937, Edward went to work for the Frisco Railroad and retired in 1980 as a General Forman. Edward was preceded in death by two siblings, Wanda Elizabeth (Fellin) Gibalski and Joseph Elwyn Fellin. Other survivors include two sisters, Laura Marceline (Fellin) Weaver and Jacqueline Marie (Fellin) Farrell, who both reside in Springfield, Mo.; six grandchildren, Vicky Marie (Fiveash) McIver, David Paul Fiveash, Connie Sue (Fiveash) Harper, Leslie Dale Fellin, Christy Johnelle (Fellin) Firestone and John Paul Fellin; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, located at 3506 N.
