William Issac Eagleburger, age 86, of Ozark, Mo., passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 in Ozark Riverview Manor. He was born November 14, 1923, in Hickory Barns, Mo., to Samuel and Sarah (Ramsey) Eagleburger. He was a big Nascar Race fan, he raced stock cars in Springfield, Joplin and Pittsburg, Kan. William enjoyed fishing and spending time at the lake with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Sarah Eagleburger and his wife, Helen “Jackie” Eagleburger. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Jones and husband Dwayne of Ozark; two sons, Richard Eagleburger of Milo, Mo., and George Eagleburger of Springfield; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Holly of Springfield, Ill., and Irene Michael of Fort Smith, Ark.; one brother, Leo “Jack” Eagleburger of Springfield.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2010, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2010 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
