Twyla Kay Choate, age 52, of Springfield, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at St. John’s Medical Center. She was born on July 13, 1958, in Springfield, Missouri, to Donald and Joye (Jones) Sumner.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald J. Sumner and brother, Kyle Sumner.
Twyla is survived by her husband, David Choate, of Springfield, her mother, Joye B. (Jones) Sumner of Springfield, and her sister, Rhonda L. Harriman also of Springfield. Twyla will also be dearly missed by two nieces: Amber and Nicole, one nephew; Daniel, four great nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Rock Prairie Baptist Church, Pleasant Hope, Missouri, with Rev, Jerry Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2010, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, Missouri.
