Martha Anna Belle (Box) Osborn, 89, the daughter of Dewey and Clara Box was born on May 30, 1921 in Decatur, Arkansas. She passed away on September 7, 2010 at her home.
Anna Belle married Vernie Lee Osborn on December 23, 1939 who lived in Gentry, Arkansas. They came to Springfield, Missouri to live and have resided here ever since. Anna Belle and Vernie recently celebrated their 70th anniversary this past December.
Anna Belle accepted Christ as her personal Savior in 1933, and from that time she has served the Lord faithfully. She was a member of Hamlin Memorial Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri. Her life was a living testimony of her belief in Christ. She was admired and respected by all who had the pleasure to know her, and will be missed by each of those lives she touched.
She was President of the Professional Business Women’s Association, Church Social Director, and Manager of school cafeterias for many years. Anna Belle was talented in sewing and quilting, and her beautiful painting on chinaware won her many awards over the years.
She is survived by her husband Vernie Osborn of Springfield, MO, a daughter Janet Stainbrook, and a son Robert D. Osborn and wife Perki, three grandchildren Eric Stainbrook, Laura Melvin, and Craig Stainbrook, and six great-grand children.
Her inner beauty shown for all to see and her loving heart was given to all.
Funeral services will be Friday September 10, 2010 at 1:00 pm, at Greenlawn South Funeral Home with burial following at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday September 9, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
