Joseph Aloyious Nusbaumer, age 92, of Springfield, MO, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011, at The Maples Springfield, MO. He was born April 20, 1918, in Oaklyn, NJ, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Johnson) Nusbaumer. He was a U.S. United States Marine Corps WWII veteran. He was united in marriage to Mary Ella Stewart June 14, 1941. He loved to play golf. He was an artist working with stained-glass, and oil painting’s. He was a member of the Ozark Orchid Society, and a mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 59 years MaryElla.
He is survived by two sons: Joseph M. Nusbaumer and wife Lolith of Nixa, MO, and Thomas W. Nusbaumer and wife Tong of New York, NY; four grandchidlren: Joseph M. Nusbaumer, Jr. and wife Terri of Kimberling City, MO, Andrew S. Nusbaumer of Nixa, MO, Nicholaus B. Nusbaumer of Nixa, MO, and Margel Nusbaumer of New York, NY; three great grandchildren: Andrew S. Nusbaumer,Jr., Kassandra and Natalie Nusbaumer; as well as other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Gardner Funeral Home, Runnemede, NJ. Burial will follow in the Baptist Cemetery, Haddonfield, NJ. Visitation will be held Friday evening March 4, 2011, at Gardner Funeral Home. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South Springfield, MO.
