Steven Avril Jett passed away March 1st, 2011 in his home after a long illness. He was born May 3rd, 1952 to Avrel Henry Jett and Doris Maxine Holmes.
He attended Greenwood Private School and graduated from Central High school in Springfield, Mo.
Steve was preceded in death by his father and mother.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; sons, Greg and Steven; daughter, Courtney; and grandchildren, Chase, Landon, and Lilly; brother, Darold Currey; sister, Kathy Young; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many, many friends.
Steve was a Master Craftsman Jeweler with over 30 years of experience and retired from Endless Time Jewelry. Steve was also a member of Fresh Heart Foursquare church for over 13 years; where he served in many areas including: children’s ministry, counsel, and the worship team. He loved the outdoors and was active with his son in the Boy Scouts of America.
Steve will be remembered for his willingness to help others, his love of cooking, and his notoriety as a jokester. He liked to spend time with family and friends and often wasn’t in family pictures because he liked to take them. He will be greatly missed by all.
Open visitation will held in Greenlawn North on Monday, March 7, from 11 a.m. till 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until noon. Services will also be held in Greenlawn North on Tuesday March 8th at 3 p.m. with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Mo.
