Anna Teres Durham,84,Springfield,MO,died March 29,2012 in Jordan Creek Nursing and Rehab. Anna was born December 21,1927 in Brookline,MO. The daughter of James B. and Elsie Garton.She was batized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses September 29,1040 and attended the Ritter Springs congeration for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years George J. Durham,two sisters,Rosalie Turner and Irene Henderson, one brother, Carl J Garton.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Vincent Gingery, a brother Glen Garton, and Donna, a nephew Howard Henderson and Barbara all of SWpringfield. Two Nieces Darla Garvin and Mike of Idaho Falls, ID, lorena Wood and Paul of Rogers, ar. Three step grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Gingery and Carry Berry, two step great-grandchildren, Hannah and Mason Berry. Three grand-nieces, one grand nephew, four great-grand nephews.
Anna was a homemaker and loved raising Africian Violets in her basement, She raised more than 500 different varieties. She was affectionately known as “The Violet Lady” by many of her customers and friends who loved to shop in her basement.
Due to her wishes there will be a private family burial at a later date.
