Richard Wayne Tatum, Jr., age 56, of Springfield, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Residence. He was born March 12, 1956, in Springfield, Mo, to Richard and Beverly (Ash) Tatum Sr. He collected guns, loved to work with wood and arts and crafts and also collected football and baseball cards. Rick was a good mentor with his children, and very dependable.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife Sharon Tatum, Springfield, MO., his mother Beverly Ann Ash Tatum; three sons, Jason Tatum, Michael Wilkins and Richard Wayne Tatum III, and three daughters, Kristie Mcelvoy, Jessie Tatum, Tamme Ferguson; ten grandchildren ; grandmother Willie Ash and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at at 1: 00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO., with Pastor James Lindly officiating. Burial is at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Springfield, MO. No formal visitation is planned, friends may call Sunday April 22,2012, at their convience.
