H. Don Seaton, age 65, of Springfield, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in his home. He was born November 19, 1946, in Macks Creek, MO, to Hobert and Mary (Eidson) Seaton. He was a member of the Nixa Nazarene Church and a lifetime member of the D.A.V. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Don loved to play music and tell stories at his favorite coffee shop. He was an amazing husband, father, and friend.
He was preceded in death by parents,Hobert T. and Ruby Seaton; and Mary Belle and “Buck” Eudaly; two sisters Donna Lee Webster and Mary Virginia Seaton; and one grandaughter Sara Nikole Whitley. He is survived by wife, Joeana Seaton, Springfield, MO; six children, Rhonda Ray of Springfield, Donna Sue Turner of Phoenix, Az, Mark D. Ray and wife Tabitha of the state of Texas, Janie A. Smith and husband Andy of Winfield, KS, Amanda D. Seaton and Brad Davis of Springfield, Missy Jackson and husband Rick of Springfield; twelve grandchildren, Samantha, Christopher, J.C., Justin, Brigette, Alicia, Megan, Nate, Tyler, Leighann, Melinda, and Shawn; one sister, Penny Seaton of Bolivar, MO; a very special nephew, Jeff Skinner and son Rylan of Springfield;step sister, Rebecca Hoxeng and husband Steve of Macks Creek, MO, Steep brother, Robert Long and wife Sue; Nieces Rachell Blair and Samantha Bench; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, June 4, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO with Bro. Gary Swearingin officiating. Burial will be held in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
