Edward L. Giltner, age 65, of Fair Grove, MO, passed away on August 14, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Ed was born on February 18, 1947, in Hinsdale, IL. to Marion Burr and Mellean M. (Hedgespeth) Giltner. He served his country in the United States Army, then worked most of his life as a Civil Engineer.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents,a brother Ray Giltner and sister-in-law Betty Giltner and two sisters Frances Giltner and Loretta Giltner.
Ed is survived by two daughters and their family’s; Niki Ochonicky (Rob) and their son Brian of Elmhurst, IL. and Elly Goldstein (Dean) and their children Melody, Cadence and Jake, of Sandwich, IL., four brothers and their wife’s; Larry (Dorene) Giltner of Tonica, IL., Ken (Jo) Giltner of Evart, Michigan, John (Judy) Giltner of Fowler, Ohio and Paul (Laura) Giltner of Channing, Michigan and several nieces and nephews.
A Visitation to Celebrate Ed’s life will be on Friday, August 17, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Ed will be layed to rest in the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL., at a later date.
