Jeff Cantrell, loving husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle, brother-in-law and friend, passed
away January 15,2013 at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, MO. Jeff was also born in Springfield
in 1965 at Cox North Hospital when it was still Burge Hospital.
Jeff lived a very good life always with a smile on his face. Especially when he was fishing in his
new boat, going to Dirt Late Model races ,NASCAR races, heavy metal concerts or watching
football. Jeff also enjoyed bowling in leagues where he met the love of his life, best friend and
fishing partner, Shelley. She was always by his side with a story to tell everyone about their
latest adventure.
When he wasn’t hard at work, he enjoyed spending time at his place on Table Rock Lake with
his family and many friends. Jeff worked at several places over the years after graduating from
Central High School in 1983. He worked at Techniflex in Republic, MO, Rawlings Sporting
Goods and most recently Graybar Electric Inc. in the Springfield
Underground for the last 10 years.
Jeff’s passing will leave a large void in the lives of those who knew and love him.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Wanda Givens, his grandfather Floyd Givens, his
father, Richard Conger, his Uncle Danny Givens and his brother-in-law Thomas January and
niece Cassie Conger.
He is survived by his wife Shelley Cantrell, daughter Cheyanna Cantrell, his mother Judy
Conger,his brother Todd Cantrell and family. His sister Dalana January and family. The children
and grandchildren of his wife Shelley, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at Greenlawn Funeral Home-East 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 19, 2013. Burial will be at Eastlawn Cemetery, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be Friday January 18, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
