Everett Raymond Anderson Jr. went to be with his Lord on February 22, 2013 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Everett Sr. and Hester Anderson, three sisters: Gloria Notbohm, Katherine Edmondson, and Barbara Hasselblad; a brother Richard Anderson; and a daughter-in law Judy Anderson. It brings great comfort to know he is now reunited with these loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Frances; three children: Vicki McHenry (husband Greg), Douglas Anderson and Patricia Anderson. Three grandchildren: Doug Anderson Jr, Melissa Booth (husband James), and Samantha O’Donnell. Four great-grandchildren: Alexandra Anderson, Kalen McHenry, Baylee Weise and Madison Booth; a host of nieces, nephews and their extended families. Raymond was a member and trustee of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. He designed and planted the Memorial Garden at that Church. Raymond owned The Anderson Heating and Air for over 30 years and he built several houses. He was great at dreaming up plans and ideas for just about everything from a complete portable building for deer hunting to a huge outdoor playfort to an intricate, detailed model train layout. He was a pilot and passed along his love of flying to his son, Doug. Showing pigeons were a passion of his and Frances’ and they traveled as far away as New Mexico and Louisville to show their birds. A celebration of Raymonds life will be at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial in Eastlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel United Methodist Church.Raymond’s wisdom and knowledge and willingness to help anybody, anytime will be greatly missed. We love you, Daddy.
