Denver Roy Moore, 73, Springfield, MO passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the VA facility in Little Rock, Arkansas. He lived in St. Helen, Michigan for over 15 years off & on, but had moved back to Arkansas to get away from harsh winters. We all loved Denny, as he kept us all laughing with his joking and funny stories, he will be greatly missed by our entire family. He loved going to garage sales and always tried to get the best deal on anything he bought “never pay retail” was his motto. He loved traveling the country with Barb in one of their many motor homes over the years. His favorite place to park overnight was a Walmart parking lot, safe and no charge!
He was the son of Roy Moore, a WWII US Army veteran. He leaves behind his wife, Barbara of over 50 years, sons, Dan & David, daughter Debbie. He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Denver Jr, who died in a motorcycle accident years ago as a young man.
Denny, as we called him, was a Ret, USAF, TSGT, Air Police veteran, with 20 years of service to our country. He still had his GI regulation haircut, and was always ready for a standby inspection. He flew the American flag daily and was a Christian.
Denny will be returned to Springfield, MO to be interred next to his son Denver Roy Moore, Jr. His graveside service will be in the Springfield National Cemetery at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
