Larry Wayne Butler, 63, Rogersville passed through the gates of heaven September 25, 2014 in his home.
Larry was born July 10, 1951 to James and Josephine Butler (Mincks) in Springfield. He graduated from Willard High School in 1969. Larry gave his life to the Lord as a young boy at Noble Hill Baptist Church. Larry spent most of his life working as a laborer in the construction industry. He was united in marriage to Brenda Phillips May 21, 2014.
Larry loved to ride his Harley, farm his modest ground, tend to his cows, can his summer bounty, garage sale and auction, but most of all he loved serving others. He was a fiercely loyal father, husband and friend. He held his family and friends in the highest regard and would, literally, give you the shirt off of his back. What was his was certainly yours and he would go 1000 miles out of the way to assist someone in need. The ornery twinkle in his eye will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
