Kenneth Don Burdette, age 65, of Pleasant Hope, MO, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 in his home. He was born October 8, 1949, in Springfield, MO, to Ralph and Frances (Gee) Burdette. He was a member of the Pleasant Hope Fundamental Baptist Church. He was a lifetime resident of the Pleasant Hope area. He was a farmer, rancher, and cattle dealer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother James Lee Burdette. He is survived by three daughters: Kristi Mae Sarkis, and husband Joseph, Shawnee, KS, Lindsey Nicole Prior, and her husband Tom, Greeley, IA and Carrie D. Burdette, Columbia, MO, three grandchildren: Gabriel Sarkis, Madison and Matthew Prior, two brothers: Dewayne Burdette and wife Janice, Pleasant Hope, Bobby J. Burdette Sr. and wife Cathy, Valle De Oro, TX, two sisters: Barbara Buckner and husband Kenneth Stockton, MO, Edith Mullings, and her husband Douglas, Fair Grove, MO, as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration Of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 in Greenlawn North Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
