Mark Blevins, age 37, of Springfield, MO, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014. He was born November 27, 1977, in Creve Coeur, MO, to Ralph Jr. and Loraine Anne (Hubert) Blevins. Mark graduated from Eureka High School in 1996 and earning a Bachelor’s Degree from MSU in 2003. He worked in construction for MGM Properties in Republic, MO. He attended Central Baptist Church in Eureka, MO. and volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program in Springfield, MO. Mark loved the outdoors and preferred to be outside fishing, hunting, biking, or golfing. He also enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues Hockey team.
Mark is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ralph and Margaret (Officer) Blevins from Harrison, AR; his maternal grandparents Charles and Marjourie (Tickle) Hubert from Cassville, MO; and his father Ralph Blevins, Jr. who was a longtime educator with the Rockwood school district.
He is survived by his mother Loraine A. Blevins of Cassville, MO; his brother David A. Blevins and his wife Julie L. Blevins of Springfield, MO; a niece Alexa B. Mason and a nephew Zachary T. Mason of Springfield, MO; his cousins Charlie and C.J. Tabor of Cassville, MO; Button and Eric Mann of Washburn, MO; Sue Anne and Steve Edford of Tulsa, OK; his Aunt Marj and Ron Parish of Cassville, MO; and many other relatives and close friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Springfield, MO. Burial will follow at Fair Grove Cemetery, in Green Forest, AR. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family for his gravestone, a church of your choice, Meals on Wheels in Springfield, MO, or the Salvation Army of Springfield, MO.
