June (Birdsong) DeVine, age 84, of Springfield, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Cox Medical Center South. She was born August 12, 1930, in Bolivar, MO, to Willie Harrison and Bessie (Tirey) Birdsong. She was united in marriage to John William DeVine, Jr. October 17, 1949, and to this union one son was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John William DeVine, Jr.; and one sister Jean Plimner.
She is survived by her son Jerry DeVine of Springfield, MO; a brother Clifford Birdsong of Girard, KS; and a sister Nina Combs of Republic, MO; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Pitts Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date in Payne Cemetery Polk, MO. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
