Debi Woodward, Springfield, Missouri, went home to her Heavenly Father on March 12, 2015. Debi was born on December 30, 1970 in Springfield, Missouri to Jim Brines and Anne Miller. Debi loved to spend time with her family, travel, and participate in horse shows. For many years, she worked for the family business. In 2006, she started a career at Cox South in the EKG Department and continued to work there until shortly after being diagnosed in 2012 with ALS. In 2009, Debi became a co-founder of the Back to School Blast All Youth Horse Show in Springfield, Missouri. The show was started to help kids have a “big” show experience without the big show cost. Debi was preceded in death by her father, Jim Brines and her aunt, Jan Turner. She is survived by her loving husband, Chris; children, Justin (Chelsea) and Bailey (Austin); granddaughter, Aubrey; mother, Anne and her husband Chip; brother, Will and his wife Chassy; grandmother, Fern Miller; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Despite being diagnosed with ALS three years ago, she admirably continued to live life to the fullest. We will always remember her strength, sense of humor, and smile. Her legacy will live on not only in the hearts of her family and friends but in every youth that participate in the Back to School Blast throughout the years to come.
