A Memorial Graveside service for Marvin Leroy Behle age 81 of Hollister, Missouri will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri with full military honors. Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home of Branson.
He died March 31, 2015 at Point Lookout Health Care Center in Hollister, Missouri.
He was born on January 26, 1934 in St. Louis County, Missouri to Otto H and Myrtle M. VanHee Behle. He was a graduate of St. Charles High School and was an U.S. Army Veteran. He worked at McDonald Douglas as a machinist before moving the family to Branson, Missouri where they built and ran the Marvel Motel for many years. After selling the motel they moved to Lampe and built another motel in Branson West named the Rustic Gate Motor Inn. He was united in marriage to Frances Boerding on May 18, 1954 and to this union was born three sons.
He is survived by his wife; Frances Behle of Hollister, three sons, Harry and wife Sherry of Branson, Robert and wife Linda of Nixa and Richard and wife Teresa of Hollister. Five grandchildren, Matthew Behle, Rikki Adams, Amanda Tiefry, Danielle Wilson and Steven Behle, five great grandchildren, Abby and Ryder Adams, Kendra and Kassie Wilson and Lauren Tiefry. One brother, Charles Behle and wife Pat. He was preceded in death by his parents, one baby brother and a granddaughter, Andrea Behle.
