John J. Mize, age 56 of Halfway, MO, passed away April 16th, 2015, in his home. He was born June 19, 1958, in Elnora, IN, to Charles and Nancy J. (Riester) Mize.
He leaves behind his loving wife Kathy of 20 years; son Tanner Mize Patterson; Stepchildren: Amber, Shane, Jene, & Jeana; Parents Charles & Nancy Mize; Siblings: Charles Jr & wife Darla, Connie & husband Oscar, Terri, and Holly & husband Doug; 10 grandchildren plus nieces and nephews and grandmother Wava.
John was a godly man with a kind soul that was always a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He loved the wildlife and the privacy of the country life. He loved country music, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved football and racing. He loved being with his big family. He was well known for his sweet smile and contagious laugh.
Although he was deeply loved and will be severely missed by many, we find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain and he is with our Lord.
