William Max Post, 77, of Springfield, MO., passed away on June 23, 2015 in Cox South Hospital. Max was born in Springfield on July 29, 1937 and graduated from Central High School. Mr. Post served in the United States Air Force as well as the National Guard for 24 years. He also worked at Atlas Security for 34 years. He was a member of Pythian Avenue Baptist Church. Max loved to play baseball, eat chocolate chip cookies, and loved to spend time with his wife and son Richard. Plus all of his grandchildren and great-grandson. He was a true example of a Christian man.
Max is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandy; 3 grandchildren: Amanda, Dalton and Dustin; one great-grandson, Easton; brother Larry Post and sister Cheryl Shaffer; nieces and nephews: Brian, Eric, Christopher and Elizabeth.
