Mary was born on March 8, 1960 in Bismarck, ND, daughter of James K. and Marie F. (Thomas) Kubisiak. She attended Cathedral of the Holy Spirit elementary and St. Mary’s Central High, graduating from Bismarck High School in 1978. She continued her education for two years at Moorhead State University. Mary was an accomplished piano player whose love of playing gave pleasure to countless members of the community, friends and family alike. Mary also enjoyed singing in the choir during her years in school.
Mary worked at Hennessey’s department store corporate offices, in Billings, MT, for nine and a half years. This was followed by 13 years at Pierce Flooring & Design Center corporate offices, also in Billings. She has fond memories of these years and of the many wonderful people she worked with.
Mary and John B. Robertson married on June 13th 1992, in Billings, MT. They moved to Springfield, MO., in 2003, where Mary worked at Bass Pro Shops corporate offices until the time of her passing. Mary and John are extremely appreciative and overwhelmed by all the support they have received.
Mary is survived by her husband, John Robertson, Springfield, MO., sister Kathleen Phillips (Mark), Billings, Mont., brothers, Tom Kubisiak (Georgina), Portland, Ore., Russell Kubisiak (Katie), Missoula, Mont., Steven Kubisiak and Michael Kubisiak, both in Bismarck, ND, niece, Christine Lyle (Nick), Billings, Mont., nephew, Maximilian Kubisiak, Missoula, Mont., great-nephew, Ethan Lyle, Billings, Mont, step nephews Noah and Nathaniel Emmet, Portland, Ore., mother-in-law Peggy Robertson and brother-in-law Gene Robertson, both of Springfield, MO. She also leaves behind her loving cat Joey Lee, a 14 year old tabby.
Mary enjoyed life and found peace in all it offered, from playing the piano, as she did throughout her life, to sitting back and enjoying the sun and quite soaks in her backyard pool. Mary liked being in the outdoors, spending time with her husband John fishing for bass, playing pool or darts, or having a good barbeque at home with friends. Mary found delight in good food like pasta, seafood, and grilled steak, but she truly loved those family favorites like Kase Knip (Cheese Buttons) and Grandma’s homemade chicken, which always brought back those childhood memories. Most important to Mary was her time spent with family and friends.
Mary Loved the Lord Jesus to such an extent she lived her life in great Peace – not Afraid and Very Happy, even during her final struggle. In lieu of flowers, please send your kind words to John Robertson at 1855 S. Virginia Ave, Springfield, MO, 65807 or by phone at 417-889-3550.
