John D. Campbell. 76, of Blue Springs Missouri passed away, September 9, 2015. He was born March 17, 1939 to Don Carlos and Fronda Elizabeth Ludwig Campbell, and grew up in Springfield, MO (from Township of Jackson, MO). John was a longtime employee of GM and had a green thumb that grew amazing tomatoes in his home garden. He enjoyed his first 10 years of retirement as a substitute school bus driver. John loved his dog Bo, square dancing, fishing and watching football. His favorite place to visit was the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and Galveston, TX when he wasn’t at the casino. He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby sister, Virginia Campbell. Survivors include Marilyn Creager; his siblings and their spouses Barbara Bray, Donald and Donna Campbell and Jim and Vonna Campbell; his children and their spouses David and Julie Campbell, Derek Campbell and Ashlee Dopps, Kathy and Mike Ludwig and Kristine Eddy; his grandchildren Noelle Campbell, Neva Campbell, Norah Campbell, Ariel Ludwig, Isaac Ludwig, Ethan Greenwood, Brittany Eddy, Kenny Eddy and Leah Zittel. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial in New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m., in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the ALS Association.
