Dorothy Nadine Mitchell, 84, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on March 21, 2016. Nadine was born on May 6, 1931 to Alva and Vida (Hurst) Thompson. She was a longtime member of High Street Baptist Church.
Nadine is survived by her children, Dorothy Stewart and husband Phil; Louise Fels and husband Greg; Terry Mitchell and wife Paula; Jerry Mitchell and wife Melinda; 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Nadine was preceded in death by her loving husband Perry, infant son Gary, grandchild Gary, three brothers; Ralph, Rex and Lonnie Thompson. Also four sisters; Faye Miller, Virgie Rippee and infant twins.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home East in Springfield, MO. The funeral will be Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO following the service.
