William “Butch” Stever, 75, Springfield, MO departed this life June 29, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO.
He was born February 13, 1941 in Springfield, MO to Floyd and Thelma (Underhill) Stever.
Bill loved the Lord and was a minister of the gospel. He was a respiratory therapist most recently and a former City Utilities employee.
Bill was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of Wilson Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Wanda Minor and Sally Boline.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Judith Stever of the home, one son Gregory Stever, one daughter Sandra Johnson and husband Clint, one brother, Jim Stever, three sisters, Pat Alkier, Jeannie Merritt and Becky Frayer, four grandchildren, Candice Wilkerson and husband Todd, Erica Woolman, Tanner Stever and wife Jessica and Trenton Stever and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2-4:00 PM Monday, July 4, 2016 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, Springfield, MO.
Services will be held at 12:30 PM Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with Randall Moody and Clint Johnson officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow at 2:00 PM in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
