Helen Caroline (Block) Roesslet left this world to be with her savior July 1, 2016. She was born 10-17-21 to Fred and Martha (Krummel) Block. She was baptized, confirmed and married in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Purdy (Stones Prairie). She was married to Ralph Roesslet 9-22-43. They were blessed with two children, Larry Roesslet (Juanita) of Springfield and Janice Schultz (John) of Nickolasville,KY., five grandchildren, Mike (Windy) Schultz, Jill Schultz, Sarah Schultz Phillips, Shawn (Tracie) Roesslet and Bryan (Rebecca) Roesslet, 7 great grandchildren, Matthew and Pvt. Hunter Schultz, Miranda Cormack, Preston, Owen, Ainsley and Nora Roesslet.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph and 5 sisters, Freida Schad, Renata Fritz, Lorene Spree, Estelle Richter and her twin sister Helene Mc Cracken.
She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, volunteering her time freely. She was eager to share her faith and dedication to her church. She retired from Lily Tulip after 30 years of employment and volunteered another 30 years at Mercy Hospital’s gift shop.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, preceded by visitation at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Trinity Lutheran LWML. Services are in trusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
